d0d0's conundrum

It's 12:06 AM. It's tomorrow. It's Tuesday. Whoa.

So all last week, I was hackin' away and sounding like a mix between an old man and a boy going through puberty. I sneezed in my tea multiple times as well. ;) But missing three days of school seriously throws you off. I've been so behind on my school work, it stinks like never before! This academic pressure is really getting to me and I feel like all I can do is cave in and seriously give up one of my AP classes. It's all really crumbling and I really am not one to give in. I probably sound like I complain about my academics on my blog all the time. I feel bad. I guess I just don't have a means to vent besides my blog.

BUT I do have fabulous news to share! I received my first scholarship and I am a finalist for this Asian American scholarship. :) It's exciting to think that... I count! If that makes any sense. Life is great, I just wish I was better at prioritizing, time managing and not procrastinating. ;P

This is an outfit from when I swapped a few shirts from my friend Isabelle. :) I borrowed her red sweater a while back. My hair doesn't look fabulous here, but hopefully you enjoy the outfit post nevertheless! :)

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

I'm so thankful I live in America. As an Asian American, and after living in South Korea for two years in middle school, I've really learned to appreciate every little bit of American life - being able to drive on smooth, clean pavement, the opportunity to intern at a renown company, being sincerely welcomed by people are shopping stores (they don't do that in most European stores! And in Korea, they creep me out when they welcome me), the freedom to worship God without being discriminated, and not being judged by my looks even though I'm not yet 5 feet (I get made fun of about my height in Asia more than here!).

I would write more, but I've got to head to WARM 106.9's Freedom Fair! I'll be sure to post pics later! :)

sorry i haven't been updating as frequently! somehow, there's always so many tasks to fulfill and i get bogged down with a lot of stuff. it's all good stuff, but sometimes i dont even know what's going on in my life. D:

but to break it down, i am currently college researching and refining my list of colleges to apply to! it's mucho research but i'm really enjoying it! it's exciting to think that i may be attending one of these schools in a year! :)

nevertheless, it's been rather overwhelming because there's so much i want to do and so much i want to achieve that i just want to stop sometimes. i feel like i won't get into my dream schools and like i'm just so far gone or something... meep. i'd appreciate your wishes and prayers for me to "just keep swimming"!

(my post is going to be generally incoherent because it's late at night, but anyway)

there's something about God that always makes things better. college stuff has really overwhelmed me, but i keep reminding myself that the victory is already won and that god has amazing plans for me (and for you, too obvi). :) as a matter of fact, they're so amazing that i can't even conceive how awesome they are. man, i can't wait to live that dream, and i hope i'm going on that path! that knowledge and my excitement for life just leaves me in blissful speechlessness. :]

so i must remind myself, even when things are rough, everything happens for the best and it's gonna be alright wherever i go. :) thanks God! phew! :)

1. I talk to myself and rerun conversations in my head and out loud. (I also pretend to win awards and go through the "i'd like to thank my mom... etc." yes, i'm pretty nerdy.)

4. My favorite food is Korean BBQ - it's probably the best thing in the world.

after this wednesday i will be AP free, for the time being! at 8:00 am on wednesday, i'll be taking my 3rd and last ap exam for english (for this year at least). YES! :)

and what's really exciting is that i'm going to start my high school fashion project after my ap exam. (i'm planning to take pics of outfits at my high school campus. there's so many amazing outfits i just have to snap a shot of 'em!) but school's going to be out in a little over a month. should start with the next school year in september? :-O

happy weekend!

i decided to upload some pictures from the JSA (debate) convention last weekend, and from the National Honor Society (NHS) induction from this week! i got elected as NHS President for the 2010-11 year and I'm really excited for all the events and things to come! i'm not sure why, but i just love leadership, working with others, and purposefully going after a mission. :)
