winter menageries

first things first! i'm sorry for the majorrr blogging hiatus. i won't be totally "back" until the start of 2011 (that's when college apps should be over!) i uber want to blog--i actually have a ton of pics to post from weeks ago and multiple class of fashion photos waiting to be editted and uploaded. but i promise my blog and CF will be running in due time, just not at this time. :)

these past few days have been fabulous even tho academics have been kicking my butt. but seattle had its first snow a few days ago and now it's Thanksgiving break (nothin' like snow days!)! today i went to nordstrom rack and bought a couple of tops! i can't wait to take pics and show you!

but in the mean time, after whipping up an AP bio presentation with my friend isabelle, she took some fabulous pictures that i've been itching to share! so i hope you like them! she's a fab photographer and blogger so fo sho check out her stuff! i promise you won't be disappointed. she's quite the photographer and fashionista.

before i share the pics from our "date," here's some of her pics in which she's wearin' my cardi! (she's the chic i have been doing clothing swaps in my latest posts). she did a whole blog post mixing and matching my cardigan to her cool stuff. :]

click images to see them in their isabelle's-amazing-photog-skills glory

now here are the photos from our shindig :):) (once again, dont forget to click - they look off-the-wall up close and personal)

also, i must say i apologize for my previous post's title. it was originally "menage a trois." i thought it was just a pretty french phrase that katy perry used in her song "last friday night" to make her song a lil classier. but it's katy perry; i should've expected more. so fortunately, my friend pointed out what that actually meant and that's gone.

i don't believe i'll be back for a few weeks so here are some blog posts of mine (and others) that should keep you excited:

With a little magic...

Soooo this is going to mostly be a photo-fun-filled post! Last night was Homecoming and it was so refreshing to not have to worry about anything but lookin' perty with some friends and music. I'm so excited to submit my Early Decision app in a few days!

And I just found out that I'm a semi-finalist of my first scholarship! Wish me g'luck at the interview this Saturday! I mentioned my blog (in both my scholarship and college app) so thank you guys for being there. My blog has really been valuable and I'm not sure what my life would be like without it. From Class of Fashion, to just life-posts like this, man, all I can say is, God is good.

And please do pray for my health. Everything except my health and my relationship with my mom has been great. Those are two big things, but all the good things have overshadowed them I guess. I've been hacking mucus all day and feeling like a Thermos - if that makes sense. My voice sounds like a broken harmonica and I sneezed in my tea twice today. They make for a good story right? ;) I'm sure you very much appreciated this journal.

Oh and other "fun" news. During the car ride to the dance, my friends and I were listening to this one song with lyrics that go "flash yo titties," (I promise that is not my normal music taste) and someone cut her off while driving so I shouted "everybody flash yo titties!" We didn't actually do it, but it was just.. great in the weirdest way. Sorry for the terrible grammar and what not. It's late, I'm sleepy, not a good combo.

Wow, this post is wordier than I thought. Anyway, here's some photos from da night and from spirit week ! I love school spirit and I love life! :D

That's my pops and me! We look so alike. :)

My fashionista friend Isabelle (who also blogs and obvi wears gorgeous clothes)

Magic Monday! (during spirit week)

I think I was actually tripping in this photo...

This photo came out super yellow so my friend (aka, big sista from anotha motha) editted it for me. I look extra Harry Potter-like. Cho Chang much? (if you have time, you should check out her flickr photos! she has some really fun 365 portrait thangs) ;)

PS. Sorry for not editing a lot of these photos! I just had to blog, so this is the best I could do! :) Thanks again for all the support! G'bless! :)

song of the moment
teddy picker - arctic monkeys
and any song that is just groovin like september - earth, wind and fire

It's Not Unusual to Be Loved

So I borrowed a few very perty clothes from my friend Isabelle for my Video Communications course since I thought I was anchor this week. But I realized I wasn't so I basically wore pretty clothes all week for fun! I really liked this swapping thing, but I felt bad because I didn't lend her any of my clothes. Legit swapping must happen soon - I love it (well at least my share of it). xD

When I saw Isabelle wear this cardi, I immediately thought the bright color was super awesome. And I ensembled it with my fav leggings and one of my fav necklaces, creating a look that - I thought - resembled Alice in Wonderland. :]

And I took some pics around my high school. It was so awkward because while I'm posing on the other side of the hall, waiting for the camera timer to go, a kid - or my AP English teacher - would walk through the hall and I'd just twirl around in surprise, fixing my shirt and acting like I'm just chillin. Haha.

The photos that resulted are really some of my favorite for my outfit posts! I hope you think the same. :)

(I think all of these look so much better in actual size xD)

i like this one lots:

check out this one full-size (click) :)

flats - cathy jean

I don't want to be vain, but I was so excited about these photos and I loved editing them! I think this is one of my favorite posts because the self photo-shoot just turned out great. :) Isabelle's clothes must be some sort of photogenic charm thing, making all my photos look good - she does have a great photography skills. :)

song of the moment -
it's not unusual - tom jones (with lyrics, so you can sing along - yeah i know you so well) ;)
whenever i hear this song, i see carlton dancing.

Class of Fash D17: Another Day in the Sun :)

Yesterday was my last day interning with WARM and we celebrated by bowling at Lucky Strike Bowling Alley! My score totaled to 70ish, and I was the worst of the group, but I improved from last time I think! I kept getting 7's and 9's - yes, I didn't get one score that wasn't a 7 or 9 - but no spares or strikes! I was waiting for my glorious moment so I could do my Michael Jackson moon walk dance. But oh well, I still did a little bit for my friend at the end. :D I'll never forget my days at WARM! :)

Today, after being somewhat scolded by my boss at the tutoring center I work at, I was lucky enough to hang out with my friend Anna! I have probably mentioned her the most on my blog (in this post announcing her new blog, and in the post about Miu Miu's S/S 2010 collection). :) We took pics at the same place where I took pics of Jamie. Once again, a thank you shout out to Ellen Go (awesome lady who took my senior photos) for introducing me to this place. :D

But before I share those pics, here's today's Class of Fashion pick!

Anna Ohyama :)
Her shoes are from Rite Aid! You'd never guess right? They look just like Toms!

Her white tee is from Fashion Night Out and bag from Guess.

Now for a photo bonanza.

I like this one a lot: It makes me say "Oh yo so cyoot" really fast.

The next few are my favorite from the bunch:

This one is so cute:
And this one:
And this one:
Oh and this one:

This place looks like a land of fairies! I feel like pretty tiny fairies will pop out any second!

Anna took these snazzy photos of me. ;) I think she is a better photographer than me! You're really good at this my friend! xD She makes my nerdy work outfit look neat-o.
I really wish I brought another outfit to wear. Maybe nerdy tutor fashion = new trend?
I'm sorry I covered my face in the next one; it just had to be done. I was trying to open my eyes but because of the sun in my eyes, I ended up squinting and looking very strange, but you are an amazing photographer Anna! Seriously! Especially for not owning a camera!

I found those sunglasses in the grass, but I think they're a size too big for me. :P
I like this one a lot: :]

Me in my suh-mokin' tutoring outfit. I think this photo is my favorite of myself!: :D

Thanks Anna! :]] I hope you like the pics! I spent a lotta time editing em. You're so pretty. :) There were some other flower photos, but I didn't have time to work on those. I would like to say I'll post them next time, but I'll be in Korea with mucho new photos to upload! YahhOoOoO!!!

I've been mentioning in a lot of my latest posts that I'm going to South Korea in August and the time has finally come! In just two nights, I'll surrounded by fellow asians! For months I've been telling myself and other people that I'll be going to Korea in the summer, but it's so weird now that it's finally here.

I can't quite describe the feeling, but it's very tingly. And when I thought about how I'll be surrounded by my family - I mean family as in real relatives, not just "fellow asians" - especially my dad, I cried a little inside. I don't share this often, but it's been a year since I last saw my dad. He's situation is "interesting" and I'll leave it at that. He's an... "interesting" man, but nevertheless, it makes my cry a little to get to see him and be with him. :)

Anyway, next post, I'll be in South Korea! Get ready for lots of travel pics and possibly street fashion photos! :)
