A week in the life: "YOU are awesome"
Another week has gone by like SHABAM and I just can't believe it. I've already learned so much and I don't know when I'll find the time to do college apps! Clubs have begun and I'm so excited! But it sure is a lotta work. Well, blogging will make me happy for now! Lots of good things have happened this week - well, every week is really great but y'know! &thank you so much for the awesome comments and feedback in the last post! I really appreciated them! :)
Monday:
my favoureet pair of sox found for a few bucks from a vendor in South Korea.
Today I also found out I'm an "AP Scholar"! It's the first time I got a serious award for something!! I did get an Art Award in 9th grade, but this is like a legit academic award. Yahooo!!
Tuesday:
First Art Appreciation Association (it's a club that celebrates film, music, theatre, foster children to learn music, and mucho mas) meeting of the year! We saw this amazing short film starring TJ Thyme of Bones. :] I pretty much gaurantee that you'll smile watching this video (this film is where I got the "YOU are awesome" quote):
Wednesday:
I went on a Class Council retreat and played awesome ice breakers with other students. I love games!! I decided to bust out some purple and gold spirit that day. :] This was also the day I found out I'm going to be (and now am) a talent for our school's TV show. (video later in the post if you want to see me 'moving' if y'know what I mean).
Thursday:
So so sleepyzzzzz. I admit, I dozed in not just one, but a few classes. I really need to stop sleeping at 12 every night... Nevertheless, Franz Ferdinand keeps us all entertained (I love the dancing after 1:25, his legs are super slender!)
Friday:
First I-Vision (the name of our school's TV announcements show) of the year! If you want to hear my voice and see random people from my school:
Song of the moment -
No You Girls - Franz Ferdinand (on my playlist) :) (I don't like the second half, but the chorus is just so catchy. And in the music video, at 0:52, so much hot/cuteness)
Video of the moment -
This Elmo video completely made my day (although I did not appreciate his wasabi and no eyelids joke...but he gave good advice so I guess it's ok). My favorite parts were 4:00-4:30 and everytime he would super enthusiastically say HI!! to the question-ppl ("HELLO CASEEEYYY IN MISSISSTHIPPI!!). :)
Have an awesomeeee weekend! I hope this week goes well! The first week with all clubs in place... Wooo!O!!
PS. A Class of Fashion post shall come soon!!

A week in photos - dancin' in septemba!
Because I've been on a blogging binge, I thought "what's a better way to blog about my first few weeks a school than 'A week in photos' post?!" :D I've really been meaning to blog sooner, but that didn't really happen. But during the past week and a half, I took lots of photos for a huge blog post. :) I think this is going to happen a lot.
Friday (of last week):
As a Senior Class Rep., I got to help out in creating a poster for the upcoming ASB/Senior Class Auction! I gotta say, it was look pretty good. It felt so good to paint - even if it was only painting letters! I miss the days of old, drawing and painting all my favorite things and heading to art class after school. There's really nothing like art and the making of it, and hopefully my future can incorporate some of that love too. :)
Anyway, here's some pics my friends Maxine and Jen (both cheerleaders)! Aren't they the cutest? :]]
Monday:
Wednesday:
I was so sleepy and lazy and etc. so a cozy sweater was my best option.
Friday:
Gotta love school spirittt!! I got to help out at the concession stand of our first home football game and it was awesome! We sang some pop tunes for customers whenever they tipped us! I basically stood behind the cups filled with hot cocoa powder, but the warm weather didn't really help! Maybe it'll be a better hit next time. Anyway, surrounded by energized students, all geared in the school's colors and unified towards one cause which is essentially spreading school spirit - I like to think of it as spreading the lovee. :)
(because it's September and this song is groovin')
September - Earth, Wind and Fire
(Pomplamoose's cover is so much fun. I've been singing this song this whole weekend...)

CF D21
First things first, I'm so sorry that I haven't updated my blog for an entire week! That's got to be a record for longest break between blog posts for me! School has been more overwhelming than I expected it to be, especially since I have to juggle college apps, extracurricular clubs, AP courses, and family life with my two hands. I admit I like it all though - besides the family drama. I just remind myself to enjoy the moment and how rewarding graduating will feel since I've worked my butt off. Anyway, I hope your Labor Day weekend was awesome - I indulged in the I Love Lucy marathon, Who's the Boss (one of my fav shows ever!) marathon, and Looney Tunes marathon. Good deal to me. :]
& I created a Facebook fan page for Class of Fashion. If you have a Facebook account, check out the site for sure. :)

By the way, Spreading the Sunshine has reached 100 followers! I seriously didn't imagine meeting this landmark - is that the right term? - when I first started blogging. But it's really rewarding to know people read and view my posts. :) Always feel free to comment and let me know what you think about the blog - likes, dislikes, etc. :) I have to admit, I'm not a fan of my own blog name, and I want to create a new one butttt we'll see. Lemme know if you have ideas!
song of the moment -
Aint No Mountain High Enough - Tammi Terrell & Marvin Gaye (Gaye forever for sure) (I was lip syncing to this song all night last night) ;) Actually, I'll just share the video with you!

Class of Fashion: D20 (first one of the new school year) :]
School has started and it's been awesome! People are going to think I'm crazy for this, but I actually love school and even though the homework gets stressful (was assigned homework the very first day of school!), I just tell myself "I'm learning" and I know my knowledge will take me places!
To celebrate the beginning of school (my last of year of high school by the way!), here's some Class of Fashion photos. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep CofF running because my AP classes could keep me bogged down (today I didn't procrastinate!!! it's been ages since that's happened), so do bear with me! I'll do my best!
