this is seattle

went to the seattle olympic sculpture park yesterday and i loved it!

my favorites were alexander calder's eagle (the red one below), beverly pepper's perre ventaglio III, and richard serra's wake (the huge copper looking walls). (click to make photos larger)

the space needle and alexander calder - a few of my favorite things :)
(and might i say, pretty sweet pic no? :D)

claes oldenburg and coosje van bruggen typewriter eraser, scale X (crazy names!) :D

I love the way they set up the park. there's not just beautiful sculptures, but you can really appreciate the art of puget sound, the lake, and everything seattle. there's even a train track through the park, but it's not distracting - it's so... wonderful. :)

the weather channel said it was going to rain, but my mom prayed and the it was fab. no rain! thank you God! :] (and as soon as we left, it started rain...i know right!!)

from the rain before we came. :)

the triple a crew (er... at least 3 of the 15 ish crew. yeaa a lot of people couldn't make it :P)

These are so awesome! I particularly like Perre Ventaglio III... it's totally 60's.
