More of London

I really loved London and the innovative yet traditional culture of the British. That mix of new and old style is my favorite part of London. I definitely want to visit there again - especially to see the musical Blood Brothers again; it's absolutely phenomenal! Although, I noticed that London has a very "cool" and "hip" aura (France and the rest of Europe, too) and sometimes I don't feel cool enough to be there. So, unconsciously, a frown would arise on my normally smiley face. (In the middle of the trip, my teacher's daughter, who joined us on the trip, said "why do you look so sad?", and I didn't even know I did! I guess London - and the rest of Europe - has a bit of that effect..) On the other hand, I've found that I love old British people! They are some of the friendliest and classiest people I've met.

Here are some more pics from my travels to London in 2009! (PS sorry most of the pics are rather gloomy; the weather wasn't so fantastic when i was there)

Such an not flattering pic of me, but oh well! I'm so silly.

The Globe Theatre where Shakespeare once performed!

Everything in Britain is different - even the ice cream trucks!

LOL, My friend bought this punk dress at Camden Market, and I tried it on for the heck of it. Definitely not something I'd wear normally, but it didn't look as crazy on me as we thought it would! :D

The Beatles' wall

I got to sign it! :D "Here comes the sun..!"

The Beatles used to record here!

A piece of the Berlin Wall. (I'm the one that looks super gangster. Dat's right.)

That's a real person!

There was this street performer, but I noticed these hot fellas so I snapped a picture of them instead. Teehee. ;)

Buckingham Palace (& the furry hatted men!)

The oh so famous store. I had to take a picture!

This was on the last day of our 6 day trip, so I definitely don't look chic, but at least the other ladies do! :)

If you've been to London, let me know what you like about it! And if you haven't, I'd love to hear your thoughts about my pics. :)

Speaking of London, today I wore a jacket I bought from London's Camden Market! What a coinkedink! This jacket was probably the cheapest top I could find in London - 17 pounds which is about 24 dollars (everything is sooo expensive!!!!). The Asian dude who sold it to me was so funny. "C'mon! Boomshakalaka girl! Buy it!" He also called my friend "Honky tonky..."

jacket - camden market
tshirt - gap
vest - papaya
jeans - armani exchange

Next post shall be about Paris! :)

Love your jacket! Such a good buy, and I've said it before, I think jewelry and clothes (other than a tee) make good souvenirs!

Sounds like a great time! I seriously need to journey over to the UK before I get too old. It seems like a wonderful place for young people with such interesting history!
