Links to Love

You know when you have so many tabs open and you just don't know what to do with them but you do know that you don't want to close them and you want to somehow save these links and what they hold and share them with the world. No? Just me? Well, here are a few links that have recently comprised the tabs that I have diligently kept open.

Rethinking the Gallery wall: 10 Funky New Ideas (hoping to immediately install the tape frame idea. Cheap and chic is the way to go)

Evan's letter to City Kitties. He writes in cursive, is lyrical and musical, is generous and compassionate. Evan is my kind of guy--just a little too young I guess.

GQ does Bill Murray, and they do him well/I just really like him. I like the whole focus on how "real" he is--although, let's be real, how do we know what's real?, anyway I do like Bill.

John Lithgow's inside look at The National for New York Times

Whitewall Magazine's 2013 Must See Exhibitions. If I must see them, I suppose I shall.

And not 1, but 2 links on Lance Armstrong just because it's relevant.

and a belated happy 2k13. although, it's still 2013, so nvm about belated. happy 2k13!

midnight muse: CB2

somehow i found a 15% off coupon to CB2 in my mailbox and although i dont think i'm actually going to buy anything, i sure am ready for christmas with a fresh wishlist. from searching for a practical shoe rack to just ooh-gling and ahh-gling over awesome things, story of my midnight life drenched with procrastination.

i have been so involved with social media (i mean, i tweet/am the social media 'guru,' as they say, for nbcuniversal interns). i am just in love with this from CB2. it's just all of who i am right now. ALL OF IT.

that's just cute.

that's just also cute. love cool designs, sometimes wish i could just be a graphic design major all my life and days and seconds and brain cells.

because i'm still all about media right now. IT'S AMAZING. TAKING OVER THE WORLD.

CB2 needs to stop selling awesome things.

but for some odd reason i dont think they're going to listen to my plea.

so at this point i'm just dying of desire

it's still midnight and i'm still drowning in beautiful glory

winter menageries

first things first! i'm sorry for the majorrr blogging hiatus. i won't be totally "back" until the start of 2011 (that's when college apps should be over!) i uber want to blog--i actually have a ton of pics to post from weeks ago and multiple class of fashion photos waiting to be editted and uploaded. but i promise my blog and CF will be running in due time, just not at this time. :)

these past few days have been fabulous even tho academics have been kicking my butt. but seattle had its first snow a few days ago and now it's Thanksgiving break (nothin' like snow days!)! today i went to nordstrom rack and bought a couple of tops! i can't wait to take pics and show you!

but in the mean time, after whipping up an AP bio presentation with my friend isabelle, she took some fabulous pictures that i've been itching to share! so i hope you like them! she's a fab photographer and blogger so fo sho check out her stuff! i promise you won't be disappointed. she's quite the photographer and fashionista.

before i share the pics from our "date," here's some of her pics in which she's wearin' my cardi! (she's the chic i have been doing clothing swaps in my latest posts). she did a whole blog post mixing and matching my cardigan to her cool stuff. :]

click images to see them in their isabelle's-amazing-photog-skills glory

now here are the photos from our shindig :):) (once again, dont forget to click - they look off-the-wall up close and personal)

"it's snowing! (...you just can't see it!)"

also, i must say i apologize for my previous post's title. it was originally "menage a trois." i thought it was just a pretty french phrase that katy perry used in her song "last friday night" to make her song a lil classier. but it's katy perry; i should've expected more. so fortunately, my friend pointed out what that actually meant and that's gone.

i don't believe i'll be back for a few weeks so here are some blog posts of mine (and others) that should keep you excited:

my last blog post (one of my favs! and a major season shift in just a few days/weeks!)

Over the Hill

For my internship I had to head down to Juanita for a WARM 106.9 event, and afterward, my mom and I found this suh-weet place called Country Village. If you're ever in Washington and by Juanita, check it! :) There's a couple vintage stores, this amazing interior design store - one of the nicest I've seen and not so expensive either! - and etc. :) I realized I wasn't supposed to take this pic, but I already did. I love the details!

So here's some pics from my WARM summer journeys (harhar). ;)

2204355: SURPRISE

Things you should do today:
  • Google 2204355 and click "I'm Feeling Lucky." It will blow your mind in the strangest way. That pretty much made my day!
  • Watch this quick stop motion:

FLUFFY MC CLOUD from conorfinnegan on Vimeo.

Now there's a reason why you shouldn't get mad at the rain! :)
  • And if you like breath-taking underwater images, this video is for you: (my favorite parts: 2:20-2:35, 2:47-2:50, 2:55)

Socorro Solmar V from Darek Sepiolo on Vimeo.

Let me know what you think of the clips and the link. ;D ;D

It's been a while since I've done an outfit post because lately I've been lounging in my PJ's all day - that's summer for me! :D My first day interning was this past Monday! I'm not sure if I got to meet Delilah, because her name was not Delilah when I met her - if it was her. So....yeahhh, but I did meet a lot of the other crew and they are such friendly people! They really are different from normal people - personality and outgoing-ness wise - if y'know what I mean. They were willing to talk about almost anything at anytime, and everyone had a smile on their face when I was introduced to them. :)

Last week, I hung out at my friend Jamie's house (she's got the prettiest backyard facing a gorgeous lake!). We practiced for our upcoming "mini-recital" which is going to consist of Mendelssohn's On Wings of Song - totally recommend it! it's beautiful, and Rondo-Finale by Joseph Haydn (I think...) Jamie is the flutist and I am the pianist! I'm so excited! There's nothing like playing music with a friend. There is also going to be much cheese and intertubing! (Don't worry - not together, that would not be so... tasteful).

Anyway, here's what I wore that day! :)

but i'm gonna make the most of it

so last night, i was just givin facebook and formspring a last check for any new notifications or new questions to close out my friday night. and on my formspring, i encountered a pleasant surprise! someone simply wrote "CUNT." (you really dont have to read the rest of this, i just want a place to write my heart out, and my blog is that victim.)

i knew i shouldn't feel bad because this is formspring, where anonymous idiots can say stupid stuff. but i felt my body shiver and freeze up in shock. i could hear the idiot whispering cunt as i closed the blinds in my room. that simply combination of words echoed in my ears. i felt like somebody would assassinate me at any moment because i was (and still am) trying to change the world.

does it make you feel good that i feel disgusting and terrible? does it make you feel good that i want to call you an freakin douche?

but i'm glad i didn't, because i actually learned a lot from you lil' four letter remark. although i may think you are a "freakin clit," i also feel sorry for you, because you think that way of me.

i dont know if youre some random kid 5000 miles away who just wanted to vent your anger on another random kid who happened to be me, or if youre someone i see everyday in the halls of my schoool. if it's the latter, then i wish you'd get to know me sometime and realize that i am NOT a CUNT. because i am sure that if you really knew me, i am not like that...

anyway, strangely, your vulgar word has refreshed my outlook and after a few moments, suddenly, i grew so much more thankful for every friend i had, for every person that would listen to me, for every smile and "hey erin!" that i've heard in the halls.

so i want to say thank you to everyone who says hello, who is my friend, who reads my blog and hears me out there. it's really cool to know that someone is listening and i appreciate your comments and words every time i read them. i can't believe i actually have over 40 followers and people that spend time to read what i write and post. you guys rock my sox and i feel like i've made awesome blog friends. i'm really not sure what my life would be like without ya'll. :)

i want to hug every friend for every word of encouragement. hug every blogger for every thoughtul piece of attention you've provided - you really mean so much to me.

and to the idiot who said what you said, thank you too, cuz, i guess, once in a while, i need that. (but that doesn't mean i want to see people start overflowing my formspring with "CUNT") and just so you know, there's somebody out there that loves you, so dont say that cuz i really dont want to call you an "douche" because i'm sure you really aren't one somewhere deep down.

if you just read all this, thanks for that, too. :]

almdudlers and fun

pictures of Austria (spring 2008)! I think my favorite place in Europe is either London or Austria (Salzburg). Austria has this lovely, home-y feeling that I just love. Maybe it's the delicious colors, architecture, trends, food, friendly people - everything's to love in Austria. :)

(click pics to make larger)

my pops and i

can you spot me?

i love the store signs. definitely a characteristic of austrian shops. :)

The Sound of Music Tour:

the tour bus :]

the gazebo!
i am 16, going on 17... :) (actually i'm 17...)
this moment was really embarrassing because my dad - he's a big clutz - couldn't balance himself and knocked his elbow onto the glass wall. "CLANG" everyone stared . i'm surprised the glass didn't break. phew.

i like this picture. :)
this is the park where they sing "do re mi!"

st. petersburg church: where the nun marries the von trapp man. (i'm not so good with names...)

+_+

do you recognize this building from the sound of music??

the drink i'm holding is not what you think. ;) it's called "almdudler:" an austrian soda which tastes kinda like sprite. yum... :) the mountains in the background are the alps!

oh. and there are safaris in austria... yeaaa

my family and i went to a dinner where a quartet and opera singers played mozart pieces. it was so wonderful. and that was the best chicken i've ever had... this guy was the bass player, super tall!!!

mozart's home. can you believe he was born in this very building? the prodigy who wrote songs that stood and will stand the test of time. but he's actually still alive...

advertising chocolates! the economy's gotten pretty tough. ;D austrian chocolates are the best. i can just taste the real cocoa melt in my mouth with that delicious, lasting after taste...i want european chocolate.....

i met these guys on the street and we asked them how to get to this one place we couldn't find. they were so kind and trendy too! they kept giggling because i don't think they actually spoke english seriously to anyone. so they were like "goodbye!! hehehe *germannnadshtagasdustedistundast* *giggle* *more german* bye!!! *usthseinsdgh* *giggle*" i wonder if i will ever run into them again!

because of their guidance, i got to take this picture. :)

the architecture is just splendid, reminds me of an edible dollhouse.

now think about this for a second... I know right?!! but that's not the only headless man i've ever met..

a year later, i met headless man in London! he got pretty stylish over the year. :]

song of the moment -
Aladdin - A Whole New World (such a good sing a long song - i can only sing well to disney songs...)
She and Him - Over It Over Again (both are on my playlist)
zooey deschanel and joseph gordon-levitt are so cuteee
